WSAF World Championship — Bronze for a Brighton-Trained Aikidoka

The Fourth WSAF World Championships were held in Jarosław, Poland, with aikidoka from Great Britain, Ireland, France, Spain, Poland, Australia, Japan, Switzerland, the Philippines, Slovakia, and Ukraine competing. Nili Robers and Yurika won the Goshin no Kata event — Nili started her aikido career right here at Sussex Aikido in Brighton, and now trains at the Osaka Honbu Dojo, where she’s known as one of the most supportive aikidoka you’ll meet. Back in 2017, at the 1st WSAF World Championship, Sara and Nili competed together in the same kata and won Bronze.

Sara has since started the Kovacs Middleton Fund, supporting women in Shodokan Aikido.
